Progressive Discipline Process
Progressive discipline involves escalating actions
to improve or eliminate the undesirable behavior or performance of IT
professionals. In general, the stages of progressive discipline
include:
Progressive discipline should include tracking and
reviewing of procedures, as well as, providing adequate opportunity
for the employee to improve the situation. The process of progressive
discipline
that follows should always be
performed in a professional manner. It assumes that a serious
offensive act has not been perpetrated that would otherwise bypass
progressive discipline and proceed immediately to the dismissal of the
employee.
