Managing
the Mail Queue
When an email is sent through the HTML DB
htmldb_mail.send API, the email is first placed in the mail queue for
processing. The queue is processed every ten minutes and the email is
sent. Sometimes emails have problems being sent and become stuck in
the email queue, or possibly an errant email has been queued for
delivery. The Mail Queue can be accessed through this interface to
take the appropriate action on the email item. Usually the email is
deleted.
The Administrator also has the option to push all
emails. When pushed, the emails will be sent immediately and will not
wait for the ten minute processing service to start.
